AD-S32T

The AcousticDesign Series of installation loudspeaker products from QSC Audio expands with the new AD-S32T surface mount loudspeaker system. Designed for background and general purpose audio playback, the new AD-S32T is attractive, compact and acoustically matched to the entire AD Series. Rated for 30 Watts continuous power handling and able to handle 120 Watt peaks, the AD-S32T is a fully featured loudspeaker system in a very small package.

The 3" woofer is equipped with a polypropylene cone for protection in humid environments. The driver features a synthetic rubber surround and is optimized to deliver useable low frequency extension below 70 Hz. An additional humbucking magnet provides AV shielding. The high-frequency device is a 0.75" dome tweeter with a titanium diaphragm and a cloth surround. The dispersion of the high frequency is 100° by 100°. The AD-S32T measures 85 dB SPL sensitivity.

The enclosure is molded from high-impact polystyrene and is available in black or white. The aluminum grille is backed with acoustically transparent foam that provides protection from the elements. Signal input connections are made with plated screw terminals and a sealing weather cover is provided for outdoor applications.

The AD-S32T is unmatched in its installation versatility. An included ball mount assembly can be attached to a variety of surfaces or structures. In addition to attaching to the rear of the cabinet, the ball mount can be attached to the top of the cabinet for mounting to an overhead structure or to the bottom of the cabinet to provide a shelf stand. Also included in the system is an aluminum yoke mount. This mount further enhances the AD-S32T mounting options for either vertical or horizontal installation. The AD-S32T is equipped with a 70/100 volt transformer with multiple taps and an 8 ohm bypass.

 

AD-S52

The loudspeaker's low frequency driver is magnetically shielded, making the AD-S52 perfect for use near video monitors. Available in black or white, these great sounding, weather resistant enclosures can be painted to match any specific decor.

The AD-S52 is a high output, 2-way design incorporating a 5.25" weatherproof, LF transducer and a 1" neodymium tweeter. This exceptional loudspeaker carries the added benefit of built-in dynamic power protection - thus ensuring system reliability in the event of overload conditions.

The AD-S52T models are equipped with a 70V/100V matching transformer for distributed audio systems. There is a transformer tap switch on the rear panel for setting the power level of the loudspeaker. This switch may also be set for 8-ohm operation, bypassing the transformer completely - providing greater system flexibility compared to most competing products.

The AD-S52 system package includes a ball mount assembly for convenient installation of the enclosure in a wide variety of orientations. If desired, the ball mount adapter's back plate can be removed, reducing the overall depth of the assembly and the footprint of the mount on the wall. Further, the assembly includes a weather resistant input connection cover to protect the 5-way binding post input terminals.

 

AD-S82 and AD-S82H

The speaker incorporates QSC's revolutionary IntelliDock™ intelligent mounting system combined with the Advanced Directivity™ rotatable waveguide. Available in black or white, these great sounding, weather resistant enclosures can be painted to match any specific decor.

With both high output and standard versions, the AD-S82 is a 2-way system housed in a ported enclosure made from injection molded, high impact polystyrene. This enclosure incorporates an 8" weatherproof, LF transducer with a heavy-duty double roll cloth surround. High output versions employ a 1" exit compression HF driver while standard versions provide a 1" pure titanium dome tweeter. Both versions are available with or without a transformer (70V/100V transformer is included in the optional ID-8T IntelliDock mounting system). The HF driver is coupled with QSC's unique Advanced Directivity rotatable waveguide - enabling the loudspeaker to deliver accurately focused sound, regardless of its mounted orientation.

IntelliDock Mounting SystemQSC's new IntelliDock intelligent mounting system raises the bar for contractor speaker ease of installation and security. The IntelliDock docking station combines all the components needed to mount, wire, and position the speaker into a single housing - independent from the enclosure. The speaker enclosure locks onto the docking station in one step, simultaneously making electrical connections and holding the speaker in place. This exceptional design carries the added benefit of security - reducing the possibility of theft. When opening night arrives, snap the enclosures into the docking stations and feed the program material.

AD-S28Tw Subwoofer

The AcousticDesign Series of installation loudspeaker products from QSC expands with the new AD-S28Tw surface mount subwoofer system. Designed to supplement audio systems by adding low-frequency extension, the new AD-S28Tw is acoustically matched to the entire AD Series. Rated for 250 watts continuous power handling and able to take up to 700 watt peaks, the AD-S28Tw is a great complement to any of the ceiling-mount or surface-mount AD Series models.

The dual 8" woofers are equipped with polypropylene cones for protection in humid environments. The bandpass enclosure features two chambers. One chamber is completely sealed, while the other chamber features a large port. The bandpass design allows for tight precise bass with extension down to 36 Hz. This highly efficient design produces a 1W at 1m sensitivity of 94 dB SPL. The AD-S28Tw has a built-in passive low-pass filter set at 120 Hz.

The marine grade plywood enclosure is built to the highest standard to provide exceptional resistance to high humidity. The zinc-plated steel grille has a black foam backing, molded ABS endcaps and a rotatable logo. On the rear of the enclosure is the input cup with a hinged door to conceal the controls and input connections. Input and output nickel plated screw terminals accept wiring from 18 AWG (1.02 mm) to 12 AWG (2.053 mm). Two rotary switches can be found in the input cup. One switch selects between the 70V / 100V transformer taps, while the other switch enables or disables the internal passive low-pass filter.

The AD-S28Tw can be deployed in a number of ways. With the included rubber feet attached, the subwoofer can be floor or shelf-standing. Suspended installation is available with either the included forged-shoulder eyebolts and accessories or the included steel yoke.
